The Bounzer archetype is a niche group of Warrior monsters centered around generating materials for high-impact Rank 6 Xyz Monsters, chiefly their boss, Photon Strike Bounzer. Due to a critical lack of internal consistency, a competitive Bounzer strategy must be paired with external engines that specialize in summoning Level 6 monsters. This has defined Bounzers not as a standalone deck, but as a toolbox for a much larger and more powerful strategy, a squad of inter-dimensional warriors for hire.
The theoretical resource generator. When destroyed on the field, it adds two "Bounzer" cards from the Deck to the hand.
An outdated beatdown monster focused on the Battle Phase, allowing for a second attack by discarding a card.
A Quick-Play Spell offering protection from targeting and battle destruction for a "Bounzer" monster.
The archetypal boss. Provides a Quick Effect negation of a monster effect activated on the opponent's field.
A generic Rank 6 utility monster. It provides resource recovery by returning a monster from the field or GY to the hand.
The most effective partner engine. Hieratic dragons can rapidly summon Level 6 monsters to facilitate Xyz plays.
This walkthrough demonstrates the standard two-card combo using the Hieratic engine to quickly summon a Rank 6 Xyz monster.
Normal Summon a Hieratic monster like Hieratic Dragon of Su. Use its effect to Tribute itself, triggering its effect to Special Summon a Level 6 Normal Dragon from the Deck.
Use another Hieratic monster or an extender like Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit to place a second Level 6 monster on the field.
Overlay the two Level 6 monsters to Xyz Summon Photon Strike Bounzer or another powerful Rank 6 monster like Constellar Ptolemy M7.
The Bounzer archetype, with its Xyz summoning with Dragon-type support, operates at full power with no restrictions on the current TCG banlist.
