The B.E.S. (Big E.S.p.A.C.E. Ship) archetype is a Machine-type theme centered on large beatstick monsters that use a counter system for survival. Originally hampered by a design flaw that pitted its two core mechanics against each other, modern support has transformed the strategy. The deck now relies on its powerful Field Spell, B.E.F. Zelos, and synergy with external Machine archetypes to function as a potent hybrid control or board-breaking threat, a long way from its origins as a fleet inspired by a classic video game.
The primary boss monster for the recursion loop. An essential Level 8 body for powerful Rank 8 Xyz plays.
Provides valuable backrow removal with its Quick Effect and serves as another key Level 8 for Xyz Summons.
A flexible Level 6 monster that can be summoned without tribute, providing material for Rank 6 or Link plays.
The heart of the deck. Searches Boss Rush, protects your monsters, and Special Summons them from the hand.
A Continuous Spell that provides endless recursion, Special Summoning a new B.E.S. monster from the Deck when one is destroyed.
External engines are crucial for consistency and power, providing either board-breaking OTK potential or a resilient control setup.

Activate B.E.F. Zelos from your hand. Its effect immediately adds Boss Rush from your Deck to your hand.
Activate Boss Rush. This locks you out of Normal Summons, but sets up the crucial recursion effect for your B.E.S. monsters.
Use the effect of B.E.F. Zelos to Special Summon a B.E.S. monster like B.E.S. Big Core MK-3 from your hand, establishing a powerful and protected threat.
The primary goal is an OTK when going second. If forced to go first, the endboard focuses on a powerful Rank 8 Xyz monster to control the game.
This build aims for a highly resilient Turn 1 board with multiple layers of protection and reactive disruption.
