Daredevil racers from every galaxy gather for the Gold Pride Grand Prix, a supergalactic race across the universe to the finish line on the golden planet Golden Venus. The winner gains riches and fame throughout the universe, but anything goes: attacks, interference, collusion, betrayal, even crank calls. Every racer has a secret trump card (The Valuable Book EX 4).
A hottie with a rep as something of a laughingstock: a hugely popular racer who gets through the toughest spots with well-timed bluffing and running away. He is clearly talented, but he has made enemies of many rivals and is constantly hit with hazards.
His secret: his beloved horse, Star, has a Rider-Horse Unity function. The supersonic "Star Leon" Mode Change shrugs off even the most persistent attacks. It only lasts a short time, but he runs at the speed of a comet.
A hero of the fire species, the Nytron, and a living legend who served as a general. To fulfill the duty handed down through the generations, to "prove he's the strongest", he entered the Gold Pride.
Nytron tanks aren't just tanks: what they fire is their own driver, as a scorching-hot cannonball.
An experimental lifeform from a science-centric planet, whose telekinesis was pushed to the limit: a tragic psychic boy who endlessly draws in the objects around him. He set out to find himself, carrying his grief, and before he knew it he was racing in the Gold Pride.
The more he runs, the more excited he gets, and he starts to feel this may be how he wants to live, catching up by gathering the wreckage of racers who dropped out.
Everyone knows the space pirate Captain Carrie. In reality she is heir to the Mermaid Carrier Company, leader of the galactic shipping industry, racing to extend her influence across the universe.
Assassins from rival pirates and companies keep coming, but her loyal minions (or rather, aides) protect her: «We'll protect the young lady's life!» Their battered, muscular bodies show they are men of the cosmic oceans, inside and out.
The fight for the first station flag was fierce from the start, and from behind, someone came at a terrifying pace: the only racer who joined from that route. After wiping out every other racer, the vicious pursuer set their sights on Leon and the others ahead.
