While P.U.N.K. monsters (Earth) cannot serve as direct material for key bosses, they generate the bodies needed to access specific LIGHT Tuners and DARK Non-Tuners. The Bridge to Archfiend

The EARTH-based P.U.N.K. monsters cannot summon Archfiend directly. Instead, use the materials they found: a Level 6 Bystial (DARK Non-Tuner) and a Level 2 Ringowurm/Token (LIGHT Tuner) to satisfy the strict summoning requirements.

The Final Boss

Finally, use your Level 8 Archfiend and a Tuner to summon Chaos Angel. Unlike Archfiend, the Angel is flexible and accepts any LIGHT or DARK monsters as material.

The Final End Board

The goal of the Chaos Synchro combo is to establish a multi-layered defensive board. The centerpiece is Chaos Angel, whose protection effects depend on the attributes of the materials used to summon it.

Beyond the Brave: Chaospawn Bishop

Chaospawn Bishop is a Level 4 DARK Fiend Tuner built on the same LIGHT/DARK split as the rest of the deck. One Normal Summon puts a DARK copy and a LIGHT copy on the field, and together they make Chaos Archfiend. Until now, the route to Archfiend went through P.U.N.K., The Zombie Vampire and Bystial. The original guide, including that line, is unchanged in the Classic Analysis tab.

Both Attributes From One Card

Bishop Special Summons a second copy of itself, and that copy becomes LIGHT. You get a DARK body and a LIGHT body without any other card.

Chaos Archfiend in Three Summons

The LIGHT copy is the Tuner and the DARK copy is the non-Tuner, which is exactly what Chaos Archfiend needs. Archfiend is only your third summon of the turn, well short of the five that Nibiru needs.

No Dead Draws

The second copy can come from your hand, Deck or GY, so drawing two isn't a brick. Bishop summons its copy instead of adding it to your hand, so Droll & Lock Bird doesn't stop it.

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Chaospawn Bishop" from your hand, Deck, or GY, and if you do, it becomes LIGHT, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot Special Summon, except LIGHT or DARK monsters, and you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck, except Synchro Monsters.

You can only use this effect of "Chaospawn Bishop" once per turn.

A one-card Chaos Archfiend. Use the LIGHT copy as the Tuner and treat the DARK copy as a non-Tuner. That pair meets Chaos Archfiend's requirement of 1 LIGHT Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner DARK monsters. The LIGHT change only lasts while the copy is on the field, so both copies land in the GY as DARK monsters, where a Bystial can banish them.

One card reaches Chaos Archfiend, with an optional climb into Chaos Angel. It takes the place of steps 1 and 2 of the classic combo, the P.U.N.K. bridge.

Chaos Angel

Special Summon a Level 2 Tuner that fits the lock, such as Assault Synchron from your hand (you take 700 damage). With Chaos Archfiend, Synchro Summon Chaos Angel (Level 10). When it's Special Summoned, you can target 1 card on the field and banish it, which is removal when you're going second.

End on Chaos Archfiend.
If an opponent's card makes it leave the field, Archfiend Special Summons a "Chaos" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck, such as Chaos Angel. Chaos Angel's summon effect then banishes 1 card.
Chaos Angel summoned this way wasn't Synchro Summoned, so it gets neither Attribute effect.

Going second: add a Bystial

Special Summon Bystial Magnamhut or Bystial Druiswurm by banishing a LIGHT or DARK monster from either GY. Your Bishops count, and both Bystials are DARK, so the lock allows them.
A card has now been banished this turn, so Chaos Archfiend gains 2000 ATK (4500).
Archfiend can attack every monster your opponent controls, once each, and banishes any monster it destroys by battle.

The fine print: Chaos Angel checks printed Attributes

Chaos Angel gains its effects from the original Attributes of its Synchro Materials. Both copies of Bishop are printed DARK, and so is Chaos Archfiend, so the copy that turned LIGHT still counts as DARK here. A Chaos Angel made from these cards only gets the DARK effect: monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. To also get the LIGHT effect, one of its materials has to be a monster printed LIGHT.

Chaos Archfiend works differently. It checks each material's Attribute as it is on the field, so the LIGHT copy does count as its LIGHT Tuner.

Living With the Lock

Once Bishop's effect resolves, you can only Special Summon LIGHT or DARK monsters, and only Synchro Monsters from the Extra Deck, for the rest of the turn. Here's how that affects the cards this guide uses.

The lock starts when Bishop's effect resolves, so anything you did earlier in the turn is unaffected. If the effect is negated, none of it applies, including the lock.

Deck Building Notes

Run 3 Chaospawn Bishop. The three copies are the whole engine. There's no other piece to fit in, and drawing two isn't a brick because the first can summon the second from your hand.
Treat Bishop and the P.U.N.K. bridge as separate routes to Archfiend. Once Bishop's effect resolves, Ze Amin and The Zombie Vampire can't be summoned that turn.
For the Chaos Angel climb, add a Level 2 Tuner that fits the lock. Assault Synchron works: its own restriction also allows only Synchro Monsters from the Extra Deck.
Favour LIGHT and DARK Synchros in the Extra Deck. Chaos Archfiend and Chaos Angel are already there. WIND Synchros can't be summoned on a Bishop turn.

Weak Points to Play Around

Hand traps on the summon effect

Ash Blossom can negate Bishop's effect, because it can Special Summon from the Deck. Effect Veiler and Infinite Impermanence negate it on the field. Either way you keep one Level 4 DARK Tuner, and since the effect was negated the lock never starts, so the rest of your hand can still make a Synchro play.
The lock cuts off the classic line

After Bishop resolves, Ze Amin, The Zombie Vampire and WIND Synchros are off the table for the turn. In practice, pick one route to Archfiend per turn.
Synchro floodgates

Dimensional Barrier declaring Synchro stops Chaos Archfiend and Chaos Angel from being Special Summoned for the rest of the turn. Bishop's lock leaves you no Xyz or Link plays to fall back on.
No LIGHT protection on its own

A Chaos Angel made from Bishops and Chaos Archfiend doesn't get the effect that shields your Synchros from opponent's monster effects, so those effects can still answer it.

Verdict

Chaospawn Bishop gives Chaos a one-card route to Chaos Archfiend built on the deck's own LIGHT/DARK theme, with no bodies borrowed from P.U.N.K. It doesn't stack with the classic line: once it resolves, P.U.N.K., The Zombie Vampire and WIND Synchros are gone for the turn, and on its own it won't give Chaos Angel full protection. Use it as a compact alternative engine. It's at its best going second, where Archfiend and a Bystial attack every monster your opponent controls at 4500 ATK.
