"The Purrely are magical kittens who evolve through Xyz Summoning, each Quick-Play Spell attached as material granting new effects. My Friend Purrely searches, Purrely Pretty Memory attaches more, and Expurrely Noir becomes an untargetable fortress with 7+ materials. They are the cutest control deck ever designed."

In a fashionable town of pastel-colored houses, cafes and stores live the Purrelies: fairy-tale creatures who live with people, and grow up alongside the town's boys and girls.

Growing up
A diary
Purrely
Purrely
  1. Adorable creatures that look like they came out of a fairy tale. A Purrely is usually 30 to 40 cm tall and weighs 2 or 3 kg, about the size of a small dog, with an extremely friendly and mild personality.

  2. Living with people, a Purrely grows to about the size of a medium dog: an Epurrely. Its curiosity and friendliness stay the same, but depending on where it is raised and how it is treated, it develops a look and personality of its own.

  3. Grown even more, an Expurrely is big enough for a child to ride, yet still wants to play as excitedly as when it was a pup, and wears out the people it lives with.

  4. «One day, while going home, I found a mud-covered Purrely looking up at me. Where did this pup come from?»

  5. «It really likes playing! Today it played with its favorite ball as usual. Watching it play really makes me happy!»

  6. «It loves eating! Mom's cooking is so delicious~! I tried to make an omelet for the first time, but cooking really is hard...»

  7. «I found an unfamiliar pup coming from the garden when I came home. Maybe it wants to play together...? But our pup seems to be dreaming.»

  8. «It doesn't seem to like baths too much... but it looks so pretty~!»

Executive Summary

The Purrely archetype is a complex and powerful Xyz-based engine centered on nurturing a single Level 1 monster. By feeding it "Memory" Quick-Play Spells, this small creature rapidly accumulates materials and evolves into a formidable boss monster. The strategy is a unique blend of combo, resource management, and control, capable of creating nearly unbreakable boards. Success with this deck requires a deep understanding of its intricate play lines and resource loops, which transform a collection of adorable memory-based cards into a decisive victory condition.

Expurrely Noir
Missing: 83827392

The primary goal when going first is to summon Expurrely Noir with at least five materials. This creates a formidable boss monster that is unaffected by your opponent's activated effects.

  • Immunity: A "Towers"-like monster that is incredibly difficult for most decks to remove.
  • Disruption: A Quick Effect to place any card an opponent controls or has in their Graveyard on the bottom of their Deck.
  • Advantage: When combined with multiple copies of "Purrely Sleepy Memory", it can draw you up to 6 cards during your opponent's turn.

Competitive Analysis

Strengths

  • Resilient Engine: Excellent recovery options through "My Friend Purrely" and "Stray Purrely Street".
  • Powerful Boss: Expurrely Noir is one of the strongest turn-one monsters in the game.
  • High Card Advantage: The "Sleepy Memory" combo generates an overwhelming number of cards.
  • Flexible Deckbuilding: The small engine size allows for a large number of hand traps and tech cards.

Weaknesses

  • Choke Points: Highly vulnerable to hand traps on the summon of "Purrelyly" or the activation of "My Friend Purrely".
  • Specific Counters: Decks that can easily summon "Kaiju" monsters or use non-targeting removal can out Noir.
  • Graveyard Hate: Cards that banish from the Graveyard can disrupt the recursion of "Memory" spells.

Tech Choices

  • Hand Traps: A large suite of cards like Ash Blossom, Effect Veiler, and Infinite Impermanence is standard.
  • Zeus Package: Any Purrely Xyz can easily go into Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS for a powerful board wipe.
  • Discard Synergy: Engines like Dark World or Shaddoll can turn the discard costs into advantages.

Banlist Impact

LOW IMPACT: The Purrely archetype has minor restrictions on the TCG banlist, with 2 cards semi-limited.
