Player jargon on the deck pages now explains itself. Words like starter, extender, handtrap, end board, floodgate, GY and OTK get a dotted underline: hover, tab to or tap one to see what it means in a sentence, with a link to its full entry in the Beginner's Guide glossary. Each word is marked the first time it comes up in a section, and card names and headings are left alone. Prefer a clean page? The Aa Hints button next to Cards and Synergies turns them off (and back on), and the setting sticks across every deck page.

After the modern turn, Stop the combo puts you in the opponent's seat with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Effect Veiler and Infinite Impermanence: pick which one stops each moment, read why, and jump the simulator to that step. Banlist statuses in the guide are now checked against the current lists when the page loads, and the deck finder notes any Forbidden cards in its suggestions. The Swordsoul page gets the same two-card line in its own combo simulator.

Watch a turn now ends with a real modern combo you can step through: Swordsoul of Mo Ye and Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan become Swordsoul Grandmaster - Chixiao and Swordsoul Sinister Sovereign - Qixing Longyuan, with every step labelled with the word players use for it, from starter and choke point to extender and end board. Your first deck has a deck finder: answer three questions about play style, how much thinking you want and the look you like, and get three decks with pages on this site. A one-page cheat sheet with the turn, Summoning, battle and the 16 starred words prints from the glossary, the start steps and the What to bring list.

Pick Brand new, I play Master Duel or Coming back at the top of the Beginner's Guide, and the sections that aren't on your path fold down to their In short summary, with one tap to open any of them or all of them. On a phone the Master Duel path is now about 21 screens instead of 36. The Lore Archive opens as a short teaser on phones, the chapter bar has a solid backdrop once it sticks, flashcards grow to fit long definitions, glossary groups show counts like 4 of 24 while filtered, and faint text is easier to read.

The Dark Magician combo simulator is rebuilt from the official card text, one move per step. One Magician's Rod: Full Backrow is a one-card line through Dark Magical Curtain, Dark Magician of Destruction and Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant that ends on four monsters with Magician's Salvation active and Eternal Soul Set. Illusion of Chaos into Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon Sets The Gaze of Timaeus for your opponent's turn. Going Second: Rod and Souls Banish a Card uses Magicians' Souls and Dark Magical Circle to remove a card. The page's written lines are corrected to match: Dark Magician of Destruction goes to a Main Monster Zone so the Link can use the Extra Monster Zone, Circle's banish targets, and Gaze banishes its Fusion Monster at the end of the following turn.

The Beginner's Guide gets three new sections. How to read a card puts numbered spots on Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring for its name, Attribute, Level, Type and ATK/DEF, then colour-codes its text into condition, cost and effect. Watch a turn plays a simple first turn and the opponent's reply step by step on a two-sided board: a search, a Normal Summon, a Set Mirror Force and the chain that stops an attack. Card nicknames explains 29 short names players use for popular cards, from Ash and Imperm to DRNM and TTT, with a test-yourself mode. The glossary grows to 125 words with Token, Attribute, monster Type, Quick-Play, Counter Trap and Deck out. Action words can play on the field diagram, each group of words can be practised on its own, the quiz works both ways, and the page remembers which sections you've read.

The Lore Archive on 195 archetype pages now tells its story in card art. On 97 pages it's a slideshow: each chapter shows the card whose art depicts that moment, in a pixel-art frame with the passage underneath, and one picture turns into the next through a mosaic. You can step through the chapters, pause, click the art to see the card, or read the whole story at once. Where a story has named characters, a Who's who row shows each person as the card they are at that point, so you can see that Diactorus, Vidolium and Mediclius are all Medius. Archetypes whose official lore is a set of character profiles get a roster instead, on 48 pages: pick a person to see their art and profile. Archetypes without an official story get an art trail, on 50 pages: a guided walk through their card artworks, with a note on each one.

Every Lore Archive slideshow, roster and art trail now has music. Press the speaker in its controls to turn it on: nothing plays or downloads until you do, and the site remembers your choice. The music fits each archetype's world: an orchestra with harp for Artmage, synths and a drum machine for Sky Striker, zither, flute and gongs for Swordsoul, koto, shakuhachi and taiko for Bujin, a harpsichord waltz with tolling bells for Vendread, and sitar, tabla and a drone for Tenyi, plus medieval, sacred, playful and tribal styles for many more. Archetypes that share a style still each get their own key, tempo and chords. The music follows the story as you read: every chapter has its own mood, from calm to battle, and when a passage names a character, their theme plays and their portrait lights up. Hover over a portrait to hear its theme. The music fades out when you scroll away and quiets down when you pause the slideshow.

A new page for players who are just starting out, in three short chapters: play the game, talk like a duelist, and build and play. It explains 115 pieces of player jargon in plain English, from starter, extender and handtrap to bounce, brick and garnet, and any dotted word on the page shows its meaning where you tap it. You can learn by doing: a battle calculator, a chain you step through one link at a time, a field map where cards fly between zones for actions like bounce and mill, a name-that-frame game with real cards, a decoder that asks you to guess each word in 15 typical player sentences, and flashcards and a quiz that remember which words you know. It also covers how to choose and buy a first deck, where to play online and in person, and how the Banlist works.

A new guide for Ashtra, the ten-card Trap and Synchro theme from Beyond the Brave. Every main-deck Ashtra monster Special Summons itself from the hand by revealing a face-down card you control and taking it back, so one Set card can pay for several Summons. All three Ashtra Traps can Special Summon themselves as Level 1 Tuners and Synchro Summon straight away, which turns your back row into Synchro plays on your opponent's turn. The page covers all ten cards, a 1.5-card Mikumari opener, a First Penguin line, the Susanoo Loop that removes four cards every cycle without targeting, and a chart of which boss each Trap Tuner reaches. It adds deck ratios for pure, Labrynth and Paleozoic builds, the hybrid engines that fix going second, a tier rating, and the counters that hurt the deck most.

Beyond the Brave gives Adamancipator five cards aimed at its three old problems. Adamancipator Conductor, Mates and Crystal - Tiamite each put a known card on top of the Deck, so the next excavation is guaranteed to hit. Conductor is a Level 6 Tuner that makes Adamancipator Risen - Tiamite with any Level 4 in one Synchro Summon, where the deck used to climb from Level 2 Tuners. From the GY, Crystal - Tiamite returns a used Rock Synchro to the Extra Deck and goes back on top of the Deck, replacing the loop the deck lost with Block Dragon. A new Beyond the Brave tab profiles all five cards and walks through a two-card Conductor line that ends on Risen - Tiamite and a Set Adamancipator Resonance. It also adds a disruption table, recommended copies and the weak points to play around. The original guide stays in the Classic Analysis tab.

Beyond the Brave prints no card named "Elfnote", but three Power Patron cards plug straight into the deck. Ars Magna "Citrinitas" is always treated as an Elfnote card, so Tinia places it from the Deck and it adds a Medius. Theorealized Medius summons itself next to Elfnote Power Patron or Junora and adds a Theorealize card. Mediclius the Extraordinary Power Patron points down from an Extra Monster Zone at the center zone and the two zones beside it on one side. A new Movement IV tab covers center-zone positioning, Junora's column lock and Plea for Help's Attribute modes, with a stage planner that shows what any board does on your opponent's turn. It adds a search map, Synchro recipes, recovery against common hand traps, a 24-card breakdown with official text, a recommended build and a tier rating. The combo simulator gets four lines: one-card Lucina, the Theorealized Medius bridge into Mediclius, the opponent's-turn rotation, and a going-second break for 9900 ATK.

Beyond the Brave gives the Light and Darkness engine the two things it lacked. Spell Shattering Sword is a Quick-Play that turns a face-up monster to 0 ATK and negates its effects, as long as you can show Light and Darkness Ritual, and Griffoh can Set it for use the same turn. Black Skull Dragon, the Archfiend of Unity mentions the Ritual, summons itself at Quick-Effect speed by discarding a spare Ritual Spell, and Sets the Sword every time it's Special Summoned. A new Beyond the Brave tab compares the engine before and after, profiles both cards, shows what the Sword can and can't stop, and adds three lines to the combo simulator. A second new tab, Strategic Breakdown, reviews all eleven Chaos Origins cards from their official TCG text, with the Ritual's once-per-turn refill, every way to pay for a Level 8, the search chains for classic Black Luster Soldier and Magician of Black Chaos, a combo flowchart, a threat checker, ratios and a competitive verdict.

Beyond the Brave prints no new DoomZ card, but four of its Medius cards work in Doom-Z. Ars Magna "Citrinitas" is always treated as a DoomZ card: Drastea, Raiders and Doom-Z's own searchers use it, and it adds Medius the Pure. Theorealized Medius calls DoomZ Break - Diactorus from the Extra Deck, Ars Magna the Corruption and the Purification returns whenever you Special Summon an Xyz Monster, and Mediclius finishes the turns you skip Raiders. A new Beyond the Brave tab adds the card profiles, a checker for which Doom-Z effects each card satisfies, the Extra Deck locks, a panel for each connected engine, deck slots, and three lines in the combo simulator: a one-card Citrinitas board, a Jupredo and Theorealized Medius board that keeps the Normal Summon, and a Mediclius board. The walkthroughs in the older tabs were also corrected against the card text, and the original simulator line was transcribed again from its replay, one move per step.

Alien gets its first interactive line: a three-card first-turn kill that loops Premature Burial through Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar, hands your opponent an Ancient Sacred Wyvern pumped to 8500 ATK, and burns them out with Number 33: Chronomaly Machu Mech and Dark Strike Fighter. Gladiator Beast gets a one-card Speedroid Terrortop line into two Claudius and Heraklinos. D/D adds a one-card Fiendsmith Engraver line into Zeus Ragnarok and Deus Machinex; it runs through Spright Elf, which is Forbidden in the TCG.

Beyond the Brave prints the first new Gorgonic card in over twelve years, and it's also an Umbral Horror. Gorgonic Umbral Horror summons itself onto an empty field, adds V, Shining or Thousand Umbral Horror, and counts as two materials for Number 104: Masquerade V. V Umbral Horror then ranks Masquerade V up into Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade Victory from the Graveyard, with no Rank-Up-Magic Spell. A new Umbral Horror tab has a card-by-card panel for all five cards, the Rank 4 to Rank 7 boss ladder, a Rank 4 Number toolbox, a table of which classic Gorgonic cards still work, and a checker for what you can still summon while Gorgonic Umbral Horror is face-up (Gorgonic Guardian can't). Beyond the Brave gives Predaplant a Level 6 Fusion that can also be summoned from the Extra Deck by Tributing a monster with a Predator Counter, even your opponent's, together with a "Predaplant" you control. That Tribute doesn't target and starts no chain. On the turn it's Special Summoned, Daredevil destroys one Spell or Trap for each monster with a Predator Counter. A new Daredevil tab covers both ways to summon it, the Super Polymerization synergy, which Branded cards can and can't summon it, a "Can you summon it?" checker, and the rulings. Three new lines in the combo simulator: a two-card going-second break, an opponent's-turn Predaplanning and Super Polymerization ambush, and a Branded Lubellion line. The Thorns of Violet Poison tab is corrected too: Thorns can only target a monster named Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, so its OTK guide is rebuilt around the original dragon and added to the simulator as line 6.

A new Beyond the Brave tab adds a checker for what Skyfall can and can't stop, a table of which Sacred Beast cards count (the original trio doesn't), the Skyfall package for the deck, and three lines in the combo simulator: an Ash-proof going-first opener, a going-second Illusion Gate OTK, and an Abyss line that ends on two interruptions.

It makes Super Polymerization live underneath the deck's own HERO locks, turns the Battle Phase into an active combo window, and staples a Pot of Avarice onto a 3500 ATK body.

Ruler of the End of the World reveals itself in hand, pays 2000 LP and banishes a Ritual Spell straight out of the Deck, then applies that spell to Ritual Summon itself. A second 2000 LP wipes the field and lifts it to 5900 ATK. Its name only reads Demise, King of Armageddon in the hand and on the field, so Breaking of the World triggers but Pre-Preparation of Rites and Cycle of the World's graveyard recovery cannot see it at all.

The fluffballs get their first genuinely proactive cards. Kuriboh - Multiply! compresses the old Kuriboh-plus-Multiply pairing into a single Level 1 body that summons itself from the hand and tutors off the archetype's own 300/200 stat line, while Winged Kuriboh Sabatiel LV10 turns a famously unplayable Level 10 into a hand-revealed Fusion tutor and an opponent-turn burn finisher.

Wind Unicorn Parallel, the Dracoslayer copies Kirin's Level 6 WIND Spellcaster statline and Scale 2 exactly, then rewrites the bounce. It targets any card the opponent controls rather than only a monster, and its own half of the cost is any Pendulum Monster Card you control, scales included. In the Pendulum Zone it Special Summons itself or trades itself for a starter stranded in your other scale, which retires Archfiend Eccentrick. The catch is that its untargetable and indestructible clause only applies while it is a Pendulum Summoned card, so every practical way of cheating it out leaves it exposed.

Both cards spent fifteen years locked in anime-only status after Bonds Beyond Time, and Konami rebuilt them from scratch rather than translating them. Konami spent 2026 modernising the ace monsters of the first six anime series, and Yuma Tsukumo's turn produced a brand new Rank 4 Utopia. Number 39: Utopia, Emissary of Light is the first real-world "Number" to carry the anime battle immunity clause, and the cheapest competitive "Number" boss the archetype has ever had.

A second, larger 2026 wave retrained all four ARC-V Dimension Dragons at once, and the one that matters most sits in the Main Deck. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon of the Four Heavenly Dragons turns the archetype's original ace from an End Phase searcher into a Main Phase engine piece and a real win condition, at the cost of the most awkward restriction the deck has had to sequence around.

Four cards in this wave carry the word Magician and only two of them are Pendulum Monsters. Horoscope Sorcerer, the Stargazer Magician summons itself off a discard, tutors a 2500 ATK Pendulum, then destroys itself to trigger Astrograph Sorcerer, the Starfrost Magician out of the hand. The pair costs neither the Normal Summon nor the Pendulum Summon. Gagaga Magician - Gagaga Magic and Cyberse Code Magician both lock the deck out of its own summons and belong in the decks they were written for.

Two cards land in the same wave and pull the Pile in opposite directions. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon of the Four Heavenly Dragons finally gives the strategy a Main Phase search but charges a lock for it, while Master Spirit Tech Force - Pendulum Ruler arrives with its anime-only material requirements stripped out, handing every Pendulum deck a generic, destruction-proof Towers that freezes the Battle Phase outright.

Yuya's opening act finally got a rewrite. The original Stargazer Magician sat in the scale and waited for something to happen to it, while Horoscope Sorcerer, the Stargazer Magician summons itself, tutors a 2500 ATK boss, destroys one of your own Pendulum cards on purpose, and still holds a Spell negate in the scale. Performapal also now has its own entry in the archetype index.

For years the series was a trio. W:P Fancy Ball is the first member that is not a cheap utility body: a fully generic Link-3 built to be summoned on the opponent's turn off I:P Masquerena, so its monster negate is live the moment it lands. Get the timing wrong and you have a 2400 ATK vanilla.

Yuma's ace finally got its modern retrain, and it is not the boss the archetype expected. Number 39: Utopia, Emissary of Light adds no negate and no removal.
